Lenexa City Center
Lenexa, KS · Best: Any time of year
Modern architecture, clean lines, and great light. Perfect for seniors and families who want a more urban feel without going all the way downtown.
Nelson Atkins Art Museum
Kansas City, MO · Best: Spring-Fall
Sweeping green lawns, the neoclassical columns, and the beautiful reflecting pool. Endless backdrops in one spot, and the open south lawn is beautiful when the sun gets low.
The Crossroads & Downtown KC
Kansas City, MO · Best: Year-round, especially winter
Brick, murals, and warm reflected light. A good option for seniors and couples, and a great option when the trees have lost their leaves.
Loose Park
Kansas City, MO · Best: Late May through early October
The pergola and rose beds are the most requested backdrop I shoot. Peak bloom is June. The weeping willows down by the pond are a favorite too — that draping light through the branches is hard to beat. It gets busy, so we start about 90 minutes before sunset and work the quieter edges of the garden.

For newborn sessions I come to you. We use the room with the biggest window, keep it warm, and let the baby set the pace. Nothing to pack, nowhere to be.
